Horseplay Expression sheet, that i feel needs more work on the facial structure, i'm finding his face the hardest to draw. Action sheet, not the easiest to make sure his body is exactly in the right proportions, when in an action pose. Gary layout unfinished 'Wow image' of Gary in chaos, surrounded by sheep and dogs! Coloured in  Test shot, inspired by three's dancing pony advert. Diversity A lot of colour correcting, composting tv paint animation on top of the stop motion animation, I had trouble with syncing the timing of the tv paint animation with the stop motion, as the tv paint work was given to me with it being exported incorrectly. so i had to play around with stretching out the time line footage. I then imported the puppets which i animated, blurred and put down the opacity so they would appear as if they were in the background, even though the animation is overlaid over the stop motio...

Term 2 Week 11

Heroes wanted Process of the background i have been doing for the last 3 weeks, it's taken a lot longer than i anticipated, as there is a lot of detail! finished background. Horseplay Inspirational mood boards, researching the style and look i want to have for the setting and people. I found my self being particularly inspired by the new yorker front covers, as i like the quirkiness and style of the caricatures and the visual story telling. I found my self looking at lots of children story book artists, i found i enjoyed the ones with patterns, and minimal line art. Using the mood boards for inspiration, to find my own look from their inspiration.  Working over my sketches with Posca pens, using my fingers to mix the paint while wet, to get a watercolour painted look. working out lady Gertrude's look and Gary's head.
