Week 9 – Heroes Wanted

Carrying on from my tree layout designs, I copied and pasted in the trees and plants to create a quick layout to see how it would look. Overall I think the style works well.  I then coloured in the sketches, looking at more daylight early morning tones but with still a twilight quality. This painting isn't quite finished yet, I think I need to put more contrast in detail on the road.   Drawing a copy of a third-year tree design for the look of the film, I also sketched out a quick concept for how this tree might look, which I might transfer to different sizes and distances of detail.
